Here are your morning announcements for May 10th, 2022.
*The announcements posted today reflect those which were read this morning. Please be aware that changes could occur during the day (cancellations, etc.) and we might not be able to amend them.
First Half- Red, Orange, Yellow, and Green classrooms will report to homerooms during the first half of lunch. The grade level groups from blue, purple, black and white teams will report to target locations using the Courtenay Bay Doors.
Second Half- Blue, Purple, Black, and White will report to their homerooms and grade level groups from Red, Orange, Yellow, and Green will be in their assigned areas using the back doors near the gym.
Grade 7s and 8s will report to the cafeteria for the half they eat.
Target Locations: This week the grade 8 groups will report to the compound, grade 6 groups will report to the field, and grade 7 groups will report to the gym.

GSA:We will meet tomorrow at lunch in room 314.
Youth Group: Youth Group-postponed today and will meet again next Tuesday.
Art Club: Will resume on Friday May 13th, second half of lunch.
Maker Club:Maker Club will take place tomorrow May 11th at 3:00 pm in Mme Hickey's class (room 218).
Math Competition:The math competition is scheduled for May 20th Block A. Students interested in practicing beforehand can come down to Mme Hickey’s room today (Thursday) the first half of lunch to get copies of the practice sheets.
Board Games Club: Mr. Swain will be hosting a board game club Thursday, at lunch in room 318. This is limited to the first 20 students who arrive. Bring your lunches and a positive attitude. Board games will be provided, and you are welcome to bring your own school-appropriate board games.

VOLLEYBALL–
Game recaps
Our Varsity teams headed to Fredericton for Volleyball Provincials where 99 volleyball teams across the province competed for the Tier 1 and Tier 2 Championship.
Varsity boys had a great showing at provincials as they claimed second in the roundrobin earning a spot in TIer 1. The won their quarter final games but fell short in semis against the SWS Bulldogs who won last weeks tournament. 25-18, 25-19 Game MVPs were Austin G, Nathan S and Dane G who picked up two.
Varsity girls had a successful weekend at Provincials making it to the Tier 2 semi finals where they forced a game 3 but fell short 15-11 earning 4th place.
JV Boys – , jv boys finishes regular season as they head to PES today, practice Wednesday
Varsity boys – varsity boys have their final home game today vs SDC, practice Wednesday
JV girls – , have a home game Thursday vs PES
Varsity girls – have a practice Tuesday, home game vs SDC, practice Friday 3-5

CHEERLEADING- Practice Thursday and Friday after school to prepare for provincials!
Track and Field – Next practice will be Wednesday from 4:30-5:30 at UNBSJ for all events. Thursday at lunch we will have a throws practice with Ms. Rickets and a Jumps practice with Mr. Patterson. Please have permission slips signed to attend.
Co-ed FLAG FOOTBALL the team has been picked so tryouts are over. List is posted by the gym. First team practice is tonight (Tuesday, May 10) at Bayside from 6-8 pm
