Here are your morning announcements for April 28th ,2022.   


*The announcements posted today reflect those which were read this morning. Please be aware that changes could occur during the day (cancellations, etc.) and we might not be able to amend them.  






First Half- Red, Orange, Yellow, and Green classrooms will report to homerooms during the first half of lunch. The grade level groups from blue, purple, black and white teams will report to target locations using the Courtenay Bay Doors.    


Second Half- Blue, Purple, Black, and White will report to their homerooms and grade level groups from Red, Orange, Yellow, and Green will be in their assigned areas using the back doors near the gym. 


Grade 8s will report to the cafeteria for the half they eat. Grade 7s will begin reporting to the cafeteria next week. 


 

Target Locations: This week the grade 8 groups will report to the field, grade 6 groups will report to the gym and grade 7 groups will report to the compound.

Fundraiser for  a student in need: Mr. Manuel’s class will be selling Mega, YES, Mega Ice cream sandwiches for a fundraiser to help a student in need. Sandwiches must be pre-ordered on Wed, Thursday and Friday of this week (Students will be going around to collect $2) and they will be delivered to your class on Monday at lunch (Grade 8, in the cafeteria at lunch) 


 

GSA:  We will meet again next Wednesday at lunch in room 314. All are welcome.  






Youth Group: Youth Group-meets again next Tuesday at lunch.  






Art Club: Art Club will meet tomorrow in the art room, second half of lunch.   






Maker Club: Maker Club will meet next Wednesday at 3:00 pm in Mme Hickey's class (room 218).   






Board Games Club: Mr. Swain will be starting a board game club every Thursday, starting today, at lunch in room 318. This is limited to the first 15 students who arrive. Bring your lunches and a positive attitude. Board games will be provided, and you are welcome to bring your own school-appropriate board games.

                                             Game recaps  


 Varsity boys played their best game of the season as a whole. They only missed 5 serves in total from a season start of missing 19. Boys won RV 25-10, 25-3, 25-13, 25-14,15-2. Jeff E made his debut and fit in immediately going 10 for 10 serving and set up some huge passes as setter. Nathan S picked up his second Player of the game as he went 100 percent serving 14/14 and led in serve receive , and blocks. He also set the season record with Kyle R and Keenan L as each had 7 attacks.  


 

JV boys played well even with a short bench against SDC falling 3-1 Some bigs blocks and attacks came from Griffin and Cooper and some great digs and passes came from the entire team. Good job boys.

Varsity boys – practice Thursday 


JV girls - game Thursday at Sam de Cham. 


Varsity girls – practice today, home game tomorrow vs RV 


 

Good luck to our Varsity boys and JV Girls as they travel to Fredericton to compete in the Saint Thomas University Middle school Cup. 


 

Water for sale in the gym (only after PE) $1 


RUN CLUB  - Last practice will be this Friday from 3:15 - 4:15,  we will meet at the gym, be prepared to go outside. 






Track&Field – There will be a lunchtime meeting Monday May 2nd in the Auditorium. Bring your lunch.  






CHEERLEADING-  Practice todayy and Friday afterschool. 


Co-ed FLAG FOOTBALL-  Flag Football final tryouts are Monday 6-8 at bayview and Tuesday at bayside 6-8 .
