The Library of Parliament is pleased to introduce new web resources aimed specifically at students:
Youth Connection Facebook Page          www.facebook.com/PARLyouth
Developed to complement existing youth products, the Youth Connection Facebook Page provides a platform for sharing information, videos, resources and photos about Parliament. Check regularly for updates!
New Guide Challenge Videos
Featured on the Youth Connection YouTube channel, these 6 new videos explore subjects of interest to our own Parliamentary Guides.
You can also participate in Canada’s Citizenship Week. Here’s how!
 Explore Our Country, Our Parliament with interactive games and activities
 Watch videos about Parliament on our YouTube channel
 Use Parliament of Canada educational resources in your classroom
 Encourage your students to Discover How Canadians Govern Themselves
 Visit the official website of Canada’s Democracy Week for lesson plans and information about activities

We encourage you to share this information with your students and colleagues. Should you have any questions about our new resources or other youth engagement initiatives, please contact the Parliament of Canada’s Information Service at 613-992-4793 or 1-866-599-4999 or info@parl.gc.ca.
Please e-mail a brief description of it to hugh.kennedy@nbed.nb.ca.  This will form the basis of the future ASD-S Citizenship Education data base.  Eventually, these ideas will be universally available for all ASD-S teachers to see.
