The Leadership Development Program is designed to help teachers develop their leadership skills and their knowledge of current research in educational leadership.  Participants are offered Professional Development opportunities in School Improvement Planning, Team Building, Effective Communication, Legal Aspects in Education, Assessment, Professional Learning Communities, Job Shadowing, and School Environments.

This year we offer positions for 25 participants who will each complete four (4) leadership modules.  An additional four (4) modules will be completed during the next school year.

Those interested may apply to Derek O’Brien, Director of Curriculum and Instruction and will have a minimum of 5 years experience teaching.  Applications must include:
• A recent Teacher Evaluation (could also be a classroom observation, professional growth goals, or walk-through feedback).
• The Reference Questionnaire completed by a Principal or colleague (attached).
• Application form that includes:  teaching experience, contract, certification, education, demonstrated professional growth (participation in and facilitation of recent Professional Development, Action Research, Professional Reading, etc.), and leadership experience (attached).

Applications must be received by Wednesday, September 25, 2013.
