​Here are your morning announcements for Thursday January 19th, 2023. 

*The announcements posted today reflect those which were read this morning. Please be aware that changes could occur during the day (cancellations, etc.) and we might not be able to amend them.  

First Half- Red, Orange, Black and White classrooms will report to cafeteria during the first half of lunch. The grade level groups from blue, purple, yellow and green teams will report to target locations using the Courtenay Bay Doors.    

Second Half- Blue, Purple, yellow and green will report to cafeteria and grade level groups from Red, Orange, Black and white will be in their assigned areas using the back doors near the gym. 

Target Locations: This week the grade 8 groups will report to the Courtyard, grade 6 groups will report to the field and grade 7 groups will report to the gym.   

Rotation Flow Chart: Gym --> Courtyard --> Field --> Gym 

Reminders: 

Our grade 7 classes will be eating in their homerooms during their designated eating time this week.  Staff, please follow the duty rotation sent out. 

Important Info:  

Clubs & Activities: Only announce today and tomorrow’s clubs  

Monday 

  • Dungeons & Dragons Club: We will meet on Mondays in Mrs. Sabin’s room 230. Don’t forget to bring your lunch 

  • Band – Trumpets  

Tuesday 

  • Activities Club – Meet in Mr. Swain’s room, 237. Bring your lunch. 

  • Culture Club:   Mrs. Welch’s class room 232. Don’t forget to bring your lunch. 

  • Sports Club: in Mr. Walls classroom today at lunch during both halves.  

  • Yearbook – Room 325 

  • Band – Flutes, Clarinets, Saxes, Baritone and Basses 

Wednesday 

  • 3D Print Club – In room 218 at lunch. Bring your lunch and stay for the hour. 

  • Renaissance Team: Will be meeting Wednesday the second half of lunch in room 130. All staff and students interested in supporting the culture and climate at Bayside can attend.   

  • Art Club – All lunch, bring your lunch! 

  • Choir – At lunch in the music room. New members welcome! 

  • Band – Full Band Rehearsal after school 

Thursday 

  • GSA – meets at lunch in the auditorium. All are welcome!  

  • Yearbook Committee – room 325 

  • Band – Percussion 

  • Woodworking Club  

 

Friday 

  • Drama Club:  

  • Tech Crew – Meet at lunch in the music room 

 

 

 

Additional Activity Notices:  

**Please read on Thursday January 19th – Any student who usually goes to Culture Club could you please go and see Ms. Creamer today during your morning break or lunch hour. Thanks! 


Woodworking club starts today!

 

  • YEARBOOK: The Yearbook Committee meets in room 325 at lunch on TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS each week. Bring your lunch and stay for the hour. 

 

BAYSIDE ATHLETICS: 
Cheerleading: Practice Thursday after school from 3-5:30 and Friday after school from 3-5.  

Basketball:  

Girls: Congrats to the girls basketball team on winning their first game yesterday against PES. Way to go girls! Your next practice is Monday from 4:30-6. 

Varsity boys: Home game against PES today! 

(Boys’ Basketball Team): See Ms. Hills Thursday at 8:10 to get your jersey. 

Grade 6/7 JV Boys: Practice Monday, 3-4:30. 

Ultimate Frisbee Team photos: 

Today, (Thursday) at 11:45 at the gym. Bring your Bayside T-shirt. 

 

Recycling:  

Bayside’s recycling program is back up and running so please leave your recyclables on top of a locker or in one of the blue bins in the cafeteria.  

Lost & Found:  

Please check the lost and found before the end of this week for your lost, lonely items. 

Renaissance Item of the day: Only announce the corresponding day 


Thursday: The joke of the week is: Where do snowmen put their money? Snowbanks     If you’d like to hear your joke on next week’s announcements, drop it in the blue basket in the office.
