Here ar eyour announcments for Friday Nov. 25th     2022.   

*The announcements posted today reflect those which were read this morning. Please be aware that changes could occur during the day (cancellations, etc.) and we might not be able to amend them.  


First Half- Red, Orange, Yellow, and Green classrooms will report to cafeteria during the first half of lunch. The grade level groups from blue, purple, black and white teams will report to target locations using the Courtenay Bay Doors.    


Second Half- Blue, Purple, Black, and White will report to cafeteria and grade level groups from Red, Orange, Yellow, and Green will be in their assigned areas using the back doors near the gym. 


Target Locations: This week the grade 6 groups will report to the field, grade 7 groups will report to the gym and grade 8 groups will report to the courtyard.   


Rotation Flow Chart: Gym --> Courtyard --> Field --> Gym 


Reminders: 

  • Our grade 7 classes will be eating in their homerooms during their designated eating time this week.  Staff, please follow the duty rotation sent out. 


Important Info:  

Clubs & Activities: Only announce today and tomorrow’s clubs  

Monday 

  • Dungeons & Dragons Club: Cancelled this week as grade 7s will be eating in their classroom. 

  •  Arabic Club – if you’d like to join the Arabic club, please go to Mrs. Harris’ room 134. 

  • Band -  Trumpet Sectional 

Tuesday 

  • Board Game Club –  Meet in room 237 with Mr. Swain. Bring your lunch and stay for the hour.  

  • Culture Club:   Bring your lunch to Mrs. Welch’s room 232 and join us!   

  • Band- Flutes, Clarinets, Saxophones, Basses and Baritone 

  • YEARBOOK Committee: There is a meeting today at lunch for the whole lunch, please meet Ms. Bailey in the computer lab downstairs 

 

Wednesday 

  • Choir –Meet in the music room at lunch. New members welcome 

  • 3D Print Club – At noon today. Bring your lunch and stay for the hour. 

  • Manga Club: Cancelled this week as grade 7s will be eating in their classroom. 

  • Renaissance Team: Will be meeting Wednesday at lunch in room 130. All staff and students interested in supporting the culture and climate at Bayside can attend.  Bring your lunch and stay for the hour.  

  • BAND – Practice after school 

Thursday 

  • GSA – meets at lunch in the auditorium. All are welcome!  

  • BAND-  Percussion sectional 

  • Yearbook Committee: We will once again meet in the computer lab downstairs for the entirety of lunch, bring your lunches. 

  • Renaissance Members are invited to a poster party in room 328 today at lunch.  

 

Friday 

  • Art/Comics club will be in room 114. Sign-up sheet posted outside of room. (No school next two Fridays) 

  • Drama Club: Come to Mme. Creamer’s room (132) at lunch hour for some theatre and acting games. All are welcome! 

  • Tech Crew – Meet in the music room at lunch 

 

 

Additional Activity Notices:  

Broncos Give Back... 

Don’t forget to bring in your cereal boxes for the November Broncs Give Back Challenge.  We will do an updated count on Friday, Nov. 25.  The Blue Team is currently WAY in the lead! 


Yearbook Committee :   Homeroom teachers, please check your mailbox for yearbook  

over photo draw ballots. Please ask your class if there are any groups of friends/students that would like to be entered in a draw to be chosen for a grade level cover photo in the yearbook. Once they are filled out, they can be placed in Ms. Bailey’s mailbox. ALSO grade 8 teachers should have also received papers for senior quotes. If you are a grade 8 homeroom teacher, can you please have your students fill out their name and quote on the piece of paper and place the finished ones in Ms. Bailey’s mailbox. THANKS! 

 

 

BAYSIDE ATHLETICS: 
 

  • Badminton Practice 

  • Zones take place Dec. 5th – 7th. Singles play on Monday, Doubles on Tuesday and mixed Doubles on Wednesday. They will either play at Bayside, PES, MNS or Forest Hills. The schedule will be posted.  

  • Please note the changes in practice days for those who have made the team and spares from 3-5 pm. 

  •  

  • Gr. 6 & 7 Monday, Nov. 28th   

  • Gr. 7 & 8 Tuesday, Nov. 29th  

  • Gr. 6 & 8 Wednesday, Nov. 30th  

  • Gr. 7 & 8 Thursday, Dec. 1st 


Ski/Snowboard Club 

Bayside Middle School will be offering a Ski & Snowboard Club at Poley Mountain. This is a fantastic way to learn how to ski or snowboard. A minimum number of 30 interested students is required for this club as it determines transportation cost. Please see Mme Schofield for more information. If any students have signed forms, please return to Mme. Schofield asap.  


  • Cheerleading:  

  • Practice will be held today after school from 3-5pm. Please come ready to practice!
