Hello Parents and Guardians of Nashwaaksis Memorial Elementary School,

Late yesterday evening and early this afternoon we were informed of additional Covid-19 cases at the school. Anyone identified as a close contact has either already received a letter from Public Health or will be receiving one today. This letter will be sent from your principal and will provide specific instructions on what to do next.

For tomorrow, Thursday, December 2, all students should plan to attend school unless they are required to self-isolate. We will continue to monitor the situation and if it progresses, we will advise all families on next steps. 

Please remember, if your child is showing any symptoms of Covid-19, you should:

Register them online for a test by clicking “Get tested” on the GNB coronavirus website (www.gnb.ca/coronavirus). OR
Contact Tele-Care 811. The 811 operators will evaluate your child before sending them for testing.
