Important message regarding retreiving personal belonging from school

We are at the stage where the province is going to allow students to visit their schools to retrieve personal items and/or return school property (books, uniforms, etc).  Our PAMS team has established a plan that will respect the parameters of the current State of Emergency and safe practices when visiting a location outside your home.  This short student visit to school will occur on Monday or Tuesday based on surnames of students.  Families should visit the school website, check their email or call the school (273-4760) and leave a message to determine the allotted time to visit the school.  Students will only be able to enter the building during their allotted time slot.  Only one person can enter the building to retrieve student belongings (student or parent/guardian). Teachers and staff will be in the building to assist students, ensure proper social distancing, and to disinfect common areas after exposure.  No backpacks or bags from home are necessary, students will be given a bag to put their belongings in.

Many procedures will be in place and cooperation from all will be required.  Please park in the front parking lot and be prepared prepared to wait in an outside line on the ramp (2 meters apart) as a limited number of people are allowed in the building at a single time. The flow of traffic through the building will be one way, this means students will be exiting through the back of the building.  Please note, this visit optional and students are not required to visit the school if families prefer they don't.  It is, however, the only opportunity to retrieve belonging at this time. Students are responsible for returning library books, textbooks and sports jerseys.  A drop off box will be outside for those wishing only to return items and not enter the school.

Please do not come to the school if you have any symptoms of  COVID-19 (fever, new or chronic cough) , have returned from travel outside of NB within the last 14 days or have been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 or someone who is being tested for COVID-19 within the last 14 days.

Finally,  we know that everyone will be excited to see each other during their time at school.  However, the purpose of the visit on Monday and Tuesday is to collect personal items while respecting social distancing.  This means, for now,  we have to settle for air hugs and smiles and save stories for later.

Please contact the school if you have any questions.
