Zone 3 Rapid Testing Order

Please use the link below to refer to the message that was sent out from ASD-W this earlier this afternoon regarding the new Zone 3 Rapid Testing Order.

Due to rising case counts in the Fredericton and Upper River Valley Area (Health Zone 3), all kindergarten to grade 8 students in schools with a confirmed case of Covid-19 in the past 14 days must complete daily rapid testing every day until December 23, 2021. In schools where this is mandatory, individuals who choose NOT to do daily rapid testing must isolate at home and not attend childcare, school, or community activities.

Rapid test kits are being delivered to the school and will be available to families on Monday to allow them to begin daily testing on Tuesday morning. Tests will be sent home with students at the end of the school day on Monday. Homes will receive two boxes of rapid tests per child to ensure they have enough to test each day until December 23, 2021. Parents who may choose to keep their children at home on Monday until they have access to a rapid test kit may stop by during the school day after 9 am to obtain kits.

Thank you in advance for your assistance and support in this initiative.
