Weekly Memo Nov. 21-25

Good morning, MAS families. I hope everyone has had a great week so far. The snow this week has certainly upped the excitement here at school!

Molly Brown, our District First Nations teacher, was here on Monday to share Wolastoquey teachings with each class. We are very grateful that she came to spend the day with us!

Yesterday, 3 of our classes visited Chapters to help choose books for our school library! It was certainly a once-in-a-lifetime experience to fill carts full of books all in one day! We look forward to getting these books sorted and ready for sign-out in our library. I heard that the classes who stayed at school did a "Rule the School" and when we returned, they were playing games in the hallway!

Next week is “Diversity and Respect” Week. Please see the attached outline of what will be happening daily. Our Student Leaders are excited to help us with the initiatives for this week. They've helped put up posters and will read books to each class! We have been discussing diversity a lot this year as it is one of our School Improvement goals, so we are really looking forward to the week.
