​Hello MAS Families! It has been a great week back from March Break. Students were excited to return back to learning.  It was also great to see the nice weather and outside play. As the weather warms up, please be sure your child has extra clothing in their bags in case of getting wet. 

Reminders:

No School Friday, March 22- Reminder there is no school on Friday, March 22. This is a teacher professional learning day. 

Breakfast Program- Tuesday (March 19) - Breakfast will be bagels and yogurt drinks.  When the students arrive at school, if they wish to come have breakfast, please remind them to come in our grade 3-5 door. We will take off our boots, put our coats and book bags in classroom then head down to the gymnasium to enjoy breakfast together. When the bell rings and once students are finished, they will head up to class to start their day with full bellies.

Breakfast Program Grant- We are excited to announce that representatives from RBC will be here on Tuesday for our breakfast program and will be presenting the school with a $1000 cheque towards the program. THANK YOU! 

Gr. 3-5 Chapters Visit Success! - Our grade 3-5 students had a wonderful time at Chapter's selecting new books for our library. It was a great experience. They will be the first to get to read their new book and then it will be put into circulation in the library for others. 

Global Competencies Grant- I am excited to share that we received a grant for $2500 for an indoor garden tower and an outdoor community garden. Starting over the next few weeks students will begin to learn all about gardening. 

Little Green Thumbs Program- Recently Mrs Bush attended a PL with Agriculture NB. She learned about the Little Green Thumbs program, received teaching materials, along with an indoor growing station. We now have two stations that we will be using for teaching and learning.

Monday Mar. 18 - Papa John's Hot Lunch. Student-Parent-Teacher interview letters

Tuesday Mar. 19- Tot's and Taters Hot Lunch. Mad Science afterschool program. Razzmatazz Presentation at Royal Road. 

Wednesday Mar. 20- Drama Club practice at 12:15-2:30pm

Thursday Mar. 21- Great Canadian Bagel hot lunch.   

Friday Mar. 22-  NO School for students. Teacher PL day. 

Important Dates-

March 26- Grade 4/5 IF Lunch visit to Claudine's Restaurant for french language experience. 

March 29- Grade 1-2 visit York Care. LHHS Clubs

April 1- Report cards go home. 

April 4- Parent-Student Teacher interviews (4-7pm)

April 5- No school students. Parent-Student Teacher interviews (8:30am-11:30am)
