Happy Friday, MAS Families!
We had another exciting week here at McAdam Avenue! On Tuesday, our Home and
School volunteers set up a tasty cookie-decorating event in the gym for our
students. Each student was able to decorate and eat a gingerbread cookie while
enjoying some festive music. Thank you so much to those who helped make this
event possible.
Our concert was a huge success on Wednesday thanks to our music teacher, Ms.
Simmonds, as well as our students! Students worked hard to learn their songs
and also to decorate the gym for the concert. Kudos to all involved!
Thursday, we had our monthly Student Voice meeting. Students were excited to
share their thoughts about how we can make the school even better.
Today, we will have our Friendship Friday read aloud and talked about treating
one another with kindness and respect.

Items to note for
this week:
-We are pleased to let you know that Josh Paul has received enough donations
to support 100 families in Fredericton with Christmas food hampers, including
families in need at our school. Thank you to everyone who supported Josh and
our school with this initiative!
-Monday, December 19 – Whole school BINGO
-Tuesday, December 20 – Student shopping spree and dance party
-Wednesday, December 21 – Please return the Chinese New Year lunch forms
-Thursday, December 22 – Student Holiday Sip ‘n’ Paint in the gym
-Whole school breakfast thanks to Kiwanis and our Home and School volunteers
-Friday, December 23 – This is a half day so dismissal is at 12:00pm
noon
-Star Student assembly and dance party
-Whole school Holiday movie in the gym
-Popcorn will be served today (that we missed last week)
Looking
ahead/reminders:
-The January calendar will be sent home next week.
-Many students are arriving with no snow pants, mittens and hats. Please
remember to send these items with your child daily. If you are in need of any
of these items, please reach out to me and we will make sure your child gets
what they need.
