Hello MAS Families and Welcome 2020!  We have had a wonderful week back to school and getting back into routines. We ended our week saying ‘Goodbye’ to this group of LHHS buddies and we will welcome a new group in February.

Reminders:

Sunshine Program- As part of our student wellness, we will be starting an early morning Sunshine program every Friday, beginning on Friday, January 17^th. Students in grades k-5 are invited to be dropped off between 7:20-7:30am (Students will NOT be allowed to attend if arriving after 7:30am). Students will enter front doors and go directly to classroom and put on indoor sneakers, then head down to gymnasium. Students will be involved in an exercise and movement program. At 8:00am students will be provided with a breakfast snack- smoothie and nutrigrain bar, etc.

Chinese New Year- Again this year students will be learning about the Chinese New Year. On January 24^th we will be offering a Chinese Lunch. Order forms will be going home today and are due back on Monday, January 20^th. No late orders will be accepted. Also, please note that pizza pre-orders for January 24^th will be credited to Feb 7. So students not ordering the Chinese lunch will have to bring lunch on this day.

Hot Lunch Order Forms- Hot lunch order forms for February will be going home on Monday, Jan. 13. They are due back on Wednesday, Jan. 22.

Change in Student Afterschool Plans- Just a reminder and clarification that if you are changing your child’s afterschool routine/day plan and know in advance, please send a written note in communication bags. You can accompany this with an email to the classroom teacher, however teachers often do not check emails until school day end. If it is an emergency change in plans on the day of, please contact the office.

Breakfast Program- Breakfast program will begin again this week. Breakfast on Tuesday, Jan. 14^th will be Triangle Focaccia bread with cream cheese, butter and/or jam, and fruit smoothies.

Tuesday, January 14- Breakfast Program. Tots N Taters hot lunch.

Wednesday, January 15-

Thursday, January 16- Tots N Taters hot lunch.

Friday, January 17- Sunshine Program-Drop off between 7:20-7:30am (Program begins at 7:30). Pizza Hot lunch.
