The
autumn chill is upon us! While the atmosphere inside our school is warm and
inviting, the weather outside can be quite cold, especially in the mornings. A
reminder to students, to dress in layers.
We
started this week with Orange shirt day. It was great to see many staff and
students participating in this event of reconciliation. We ended the week with
welcoming our new Leo Hayes Leadership students that lead us in enrichment
clubs. Students participated in gym activities, puzzles, board games, bingo,
and a walk. The LHHS students will visit us every other week for clubs.
A few reminders:
School
Pictures- The order forms for photos are due Thursday, October 10th.
Retakes will be held Wednesday, October 16th. *A note
regarding retakes; If a student has their photo retaken, their original photo
becomes no longer available as an option.
Breakfast Program- Breakfast program is on
Tuesday, October 8th. This week students will be having pancakes and smoothies.
All students are welcome. When they arrive on the playground they come right
inside the grade 2-5 door and come downstairs to the gymnasium to enjoy
breakfast with friends. If arriving close to bell students will take the
breakfast back to classroom.
Fire Prevention Week- This week is fire prevention week. Students will be
bringing home information from the Fire department. These are great pamphlets
to go through as a family. Classroom teachers will also be discussing fire
safety.

3-4:30pm. Grades 4 and 5 visit Ducks Unlimited.

October 9th- Santa’s Little Helper fundraiser goes home. Final Cross Country at
Nashwaaksis Middle School (Rain date: October 16th)
Thursday,
October 10th- Hot Lunch. Tots N Taters.
Friday, October 11th- Hot Lunch Papa Johns.
