​Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Welcome back to a new school year!  I wanted to take this time to introduce myself, I’ve been the Principal of Montgomery Street School for the last 16 years and I’m looking forward to working with a new school community. I’ve heard great things about Hubbard Elementary and I will be spending a lot of my time getting to know the students, staff and families that make up the Hubbard community. Below are a few items to get us rolling into the new school year.

1.     Our two administrative assistants that keep the school running are Tish Dalling and Tanja Mallery.  Tanja has been a part time administrative assistant at the school and Tish is new to our school this year.

2.     We will hold our meet and greet on Thursday, September 1st from 430 pm to 530 pm. Swing by the school and meet your child’s teacher, tour the classroom, and drop off school supplies.

3.     You will receive notification from your child’s teacher as to their class placement by the end of the day on Wednesday. Should you not receive any notification of your child’s placement by the end of the day Wednesday, please call the school.

4.     Please note, requests for class changes can’t be accommodated.  We work hard to balance classes with the numbers of students in the class as well as the academic and social needs of our students.  On occasion class numbers change which effect staffing levels.  This will sometimes lead to changes in our classrooms and can occur up until the end of September.  

5.     More information to follow next week regarding procedures for the opening days of school, expectations etc.
