It has been a great couple of weeks here at FMS!  Thank you to all parents & guardians for your support in completing paperwork, reviewing the FMS Handbook, and communicating your interest in volunteering.  

We are excited to announce our first Home & School Association Meeting this upcoming Wednesday, September 19th at 6:30 pm here in the FMS Library.  We are looking for volunteers, as well as members who would like to be leaders and form part of the executive committee.  We are happy to have Valerie Carmichael, our Community School Coordinator, assisting with the initiation and support of this group - she has already helped three other local schools with their Home & School Association.  We hope to see many of you at the meeting, along with grandparents and other community volunteers! 

FMS Athletic activities have now begun.  Cross Country will be on Thursdays from 3:15 - 4:15.  If you are interested in joining please speak with Mme. Vienneau.  Any FMS boys interested in soccer are invited to practice tomorrow night, Friday, September 14th from 4:30 - 6:30.

Tomorrow all students are invited to pay $1 to wear their hat; all proceeds go to Terry Fox. 

Your child will be coming home with a # Becca Told Me To card.  The second annual Becca Schofield Day is this Saturday, September 15th. Your child will perform a simple, random act of kindness and pass along the card to the recipient of the kind act.  On Monday they will share, on a kindness wall, what their random act of kindness was.
