Happy Friday Husky Families!

We have several announcements for you this week:

1) On Wednesday, September 22nd  students 12 and up (by end of 2021) who participate in extracurricular and or intramurals ( sports, drama, band, year book, student council, clubs) must show proof of vaccinations.
Students who were born between July 1st 2009 and December 31st 2009 will have until October 31st to receive their second vaccine in order to participate in school activities and sports. In the meantime they may continue to participate in the activity, keeping in mind there will be no grace period after October 31st, 2021.
Students will be permitted to participate in extracurricular and or intramurals after their second vaccine and will not be required to wait 14 days. 
Spectators may be present for outdoor activities maintaining spacing where possible.  Spectators for inside activities is not permitted. 
Students under 12 may continue to participate in intramurals and extra-curricular activities, as they cannot be vaccinated at this time.

2) There will be a GSA meeting on Thursday at lunch in Mr. Gee's room. 

3) There will be Middle and High Cross Country on Monday after school (weather permitting). Students should be picked up by 3:45.

4) The next school based vaccination clinic will be held on October 21st.

5) Teachers have noticed that grades 6-8 have been eating a higher volume of snacks than usual throughout the day. If possible, please check with your student to see if they need a little extra packed. There are some major growth spurts on the horizon!

6) There will be a yearbook meeting in room 212 on Tuesday at lunch.

7) We are in need of a few more parent members for the PSSC committee. If you would like more information about the PSSC, please contact Mrs. Bruijns.

8) We would like to thank everyone that has paid their student fees so far. Don't forget to pay your fees for a chance to win a Samsung tablet.

9) If you haven't already completed your beginning of school forms, please do so and return them to Sandra.

10) On September 30th we will be recognizing the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. We ask that all students please wear orange.

11) A reminder to caregivers that students must remain home when sick. It is recommended that students exhibiting two or more symptoms speak with Public Health regarding Covid testing.

12) A big congratulations to all of the K-5 students that received certificates today during the Husky Howl ceremony. We are so proud of you all and you should be very proud too!
