At Assiniboine we believe parental support and involvement is essential to the smooth and effective operation of our program. Our goal is to have an active and dynamic group of parents to assist the school in many ways and we are always looking for interested parents. We would like to encourage you to volunteer at our school. There are many opportunities to become involved. Parents may volunteer on a daily or weekly basis, or if you are a working parent and are only able to give an hour here or there to help with a fundraiser or a specific activity, we would certainly appreciate it! There is always a pot of coffee on for volunteers!

The Parent Volunteer Group participates in a number of programs such as: hot lunch program, classroom helpers, book fairs, fluoride program, fundraising, and of course field trips.

Please note that all school volunteers helping in the school or on field trips must have a current Criminal Record

Check completed and must have completed the Policy 701 questionnaire. These documents are to be kept on file in the school.
