Weekly Memo Oct 31-Nov 4

Well, the day has finally arrived – Halloween Howl! Our volunteers and staff have been working hard to get our school ready for this event that we have missed so much the last few years. This week, we had a visit from CNIB to talk about vision differences. As well, we held our second Student Voice Meeting. Different students are invited to attend this meeting every month, with the goal of having 100% representation by the end of the year. See the attached picture for our students’ ideas this month. We also had our Star Student assembly which is always very exciting! Mrs. LeBlanc (school counsellor) and I met with students on Thursday who might be interested in becoming a MAS Student Leader! See attached pictures for the activity we did with the students to form the group. Today, we’ll have our first Friendship Friday read aloud where I will read a story over Teams about how to be a good friend, and we will discuss the message of the story as a school.
