RE: ASD-W Early Dismissal for Tuesday, June 8​

Good Evening Families of ASD-W,

Due to the “Level 2 - High Heat Alert” issued by the Province of New Brunswick and the corresponding forecasted temperatures for Tuesday, June 8, many of which are approaching, at, or exceeding 40 degrees Celsius for the afternoon, the following adjusted schedules will take place on Tuesday, June 8:

Early dismissal for all schools, except the 5 schools that have a cooling system.  These schools include:

  • McAdam High School
  • Harvey High School
  • Royal Road Elementary School
  • Nashwaaksis Middle School
  • Minto Elementary Middle School   

These 5 schools will have school for the full day.

The early dismissal will follow a schedule of “3 hours” early to allow for consistent dismissal and bus times.  For example, if a bus normally departs school at 3:20 PM, it will depart at 12:20 PM on Tuesday.  Parents may keep their children home without any disadvantage in terms of attendance.
