Week at a Glance Jan 4-Jan 8

HAPPY NEW YEAR MAS Families! I hope you all had time to enjoy a great and relaxing  holiday. I have a few important information items to share as we head back to school.

Monday, January 4th- Welcome Back! Students and staff return to school. In the past this has been a PL day, but this year it is regular classes for students.

‘Mask up’ Campaign- On Friday, December 18th Mr. McTimoney shared with families a letter from our Education Minister in regards to the ‘mask up’ campaign. This campaign is strongly encouraging students and staff to wear a mask throughout the day for the next two weeks. This would be similar to when we were in orange phase level. Students and staff are encouraged to wear masks in class, in common areas, and when outside as an extra precaution as we return from holidays. Please send in extra clean masks with your child and if need be we have child size disposable ones in the office. This is not mandatory, but is a call for participation to do our part and keep those around us safe. Classrooms have been arranged to provide physical distancing as much as possible where students can remove masks when working quietly at desks. Please see attached letter.  If you have questions or concerns about the campaign, please do not hesitate to ask.

Snow- YAY! We finally have snow. Please be sure your child is dressed appropriately to be outside. It is good practice to pack extra mittens, socks, and pants during the winter season.

Welcome Ms. Fournier- Ms. Erica Fournier will be teaching grade ½ Davis for the remainder of the year. Mrs Davis has taken a leave to end of year to focus on her health.
