​Hello MAS Families! We have had another wonderful week here at MAS and are ready to head into the week with lots to be thankful for.  School Portrait Proofs have arrived!  Please look for these coming home today.  Picture orders are due October 26^th.  You can order online at mylifetouch.ca with the Access Code provided or return a paper order form along with payment to the school before the due date.

Reminders-

No School- Monday is a holiday. Happy Thanksgiving.

Internet Information- For those that have not returned their forms, Roxy will be contacting you this week to complete over the phone.

Pre-Kindergarten Registration- If you have a child born in 2016, they will be coming to Kindergarten next fall! Please visit the school website- https://secure1.nbed.nb.ca/sites/ASD-W/maes/Pages/default.aspx  for the link and information to registration. Once registered we will be reaching out to families to complete the registration. Registration will take place October 13-22.

Bottle Exchange- We are still looking for a parent or parents to volunteer to help with our Bottle Exchange bin at Scholten’s convenience store. This job entails checking on and emptying the bin regularly and taking bottles to the exchange centre. We spoke with ‘Best Metals Exchange’ (Wilsey Road) and they will allow for a drop off and tally, so you would not need to wait. They would count bottles and let us know when to pick up cheque. This is a great school fundraiser. Please reach out if you are able to help.  

Outdoor Classroom- We are excited to be getting this project underway. For those interested in helping with clean up and setting up in the outdoor space, please contact me. We are looking at Saturday, October 17^th at 9am (weather depending). I will be finalizing plans with those that can help later in the week via email. If your unable to volunteer time, but would still like to contribute, we will be setting up a schoolcashonline donation link to help with the purchase of wood products to enhance the learning space.

November 11- Remembrance Day (No school)

November 20- No school students. Teacher PL day.

There is lots this time of year to be thankful for. I want to ‘THANK YOU’ the parents for all your support so far this year. It has been great to be back at school with students and staff. Have a wonderful long weekend and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
