Memo for Garden Creek Parents and Guardians

Good Afternoon to Week 3 at the Creek!

We hope you had a chance to enjoy some of the festivities in the city as well as the beautiful day yesterday. Thank you to all our parents who came out for our Open House. I hope you received the information you need for now but please know to always call the teacher and/or the school if you have any questions or concerns.

Garden Creek Home and School Meeting  – our first meeting of the Home and School is this Tuesday at 6:30 pm in our library. We are hoping for a great turn out so that we can develop a plan for the year around items such as the Bazaar, Movie nights, Chapter’s Night, the Book Fair, the Craft Show and any other great ideas you may have in mind to not only raise funds for our school but also to “raise the roof” in fun for all!  Come check it out and see how you can get involved in a big or small way. Thank you!

Chartwell’s Hot Lunch  - Parents can place orders and pay for this through School Cash  ( not through the Chartwell’s website as in the past).  This has already gone live this past Friday. Please go to:  http://anglophonewest.schoolcashonline.com/      To be clear:  Chartwell’s hot lunch is starting on Thursday October 3rd.

Bottle Drive this Saturday from 8 – 12 ( in conjunction with Becca Schofield Day!)  -     This Saturday, we will be holding our annual bottle drive fundraiser. We ask that you drop off any Tetra packs, bottles, cans or plastic bottles or cans that are recyclable to our school. Our staff and student leaders will collect the funds to  support our Creekers Helping Creekers – funds set aside to help Creekers when there is a need.

Becca Schofield Day  # BeccaToldMeTo   - This Saturday has been designated  Becca Schofield Day.  We have been given Random Acts of Kindness cards to pass out to students to encourage them to be kind to others!

“No act of kindness is too small!” #Beccatoldmeto

Blues in the Schools – What a wonderful performance this past Thursday!   Creekers not only got moving and singing, but also learned some history about the Blues!  P.S,  Our students  were also very respectful during the show!

Terry Fox Walk  - Thank you for your support. The school raised $97 and counting..!
