Hello MAS Families!  It has been a great week at MAS. I would like to Thank all those that reached out and showed the staff how much they are appreciated. I am grateful not only this week, but each and every day for the wonderful staff here at MAS that I work with and that work with your children.

No School- Reminder Monday, February 17^th is NB Family Day! There is no school that day.

Pink Shirt Day- Thank you to all the families that purchased Pink shirts. They will be arriving here at school on February 24^th.  

Sunshine Program-  Every Friday! Students in grades k-5 are invited to be dropped off between 7:20-7:30am (Students will NOT be allowed to attend if arriving after 7:30am). Students will enter front doors and go directly to classroom and put on indoor sneakers, then head down to gymnasium.

Breakfast Program- Breakfast on Tuesday, Feb 18 cereal and smoothies.

Family Literacy Night- Save the date! Wednesday, February 19^th at 6:00pm we will be hosting a family literacy night here at MAS for parents and students. We will be having a guest speaker share with parents ways to engage your child with reading at home and strategies how to help those that are struggling. There will be book giveaways, book taking from our discarded library books, bookmark making for students, and the Nasis Public Library here to sign up for library cards. We will also be sharing some fun ideas of how we incorporate books into curriculum areas and ways to practice literacy learning at home.

Bunch a Munch Week- March 24-28 we will celebrate one of our favourite Canadian authors: Robert Munsch!
