Memo for Garden Creek Parents and Guardians
Good Morning, Creeker Families,
Lots going on this week at the Creek :
Food Safety Issue – A reminder that students should not be bringing food or drinks onto the playground. We know they may be finishing up a hot drink or a breakfast item ,but, for their safety on the playground, we ask that they finish it before leaving the car in the morning.
- Although it is nice for students to share and it is a great virtue, please remind your child that, due to student allergies which may be unknown to them, to refrain from sharing snacks unless they have gone through the teacher.
Purple Pinkies for Polio – This week, students can bring in a loonie or toonie to help fight polio. Please send in your money on or before this Thursday, October 18th. On Friday, we will have an assembly and students will have their pinkies marked purple as a way of showing their support for this. Thank you for your support
Safe Schools Week – this week, we will be running safety drills as part of Safe Schools Week. Please see the attachment to review our protocols around this.
Creeker Movie Night this Friday – This Friday night, students are welcome, with a parent, to come out for Movie Night. Doors open at 6:15 and the movie starts at 6:30. Showing is Hotel Transylvania . Students should bring something to sit on but there will be chairs for parents. There will also be snacks for sale. Cash donations welcome at the door. Have fun!
Great Canadian Bagel Hot Lunch – The next cycle for the Tuesdays Hot Lunch will run for 4 Tuesdays starting on October 30th, Nov. 6th, 13th and 20th. Bagels with either cream cheese or butter , fruit cups and carrots will be offered. Orders through the Cashless schools will start tomorrow, October 16th. Fri. October 19th – Assembly for Purple Pinkies 9:30 am / Emergency Playground Drill ( students come inside) / Movie Night at the Creek! 6:15 for 6:30
