This is Natasha Spencer, Principal of Barkers Point. I am calling to inform you that we have a positive COVID case at Barkers Point School. The process is slightly different this time if any of you have received this message for prior cases. With the new measures in place from the government, the full school is considered to have potential exposure. I will be sending an email with the information you must follow. On a positive note, rapid tests were handed out on Monday and it has been a requirement to complete rapid tests on your children daily. 

As well, parents have been very good at keeping their children home if they have any symptoms and we appreciate this. 

We ask for our last day prior to Christmas break that if they have a symptom, including a sick stomach to please keep them home as well as continue to give them their rapid tests. 

School is still open tomorrow for all students as long as you are following the directions attached and above.
