​Urgent Message for Parents:

As a staff, we are continuing to struggle with student use of their electronic devices at school. Several students have involved themselves in group chats where inappropriate things were being said, some threatening, some just mean. Other times it involves texting an individual to instigate a fight or lie to create some sort of drama. These posts often occur on weekends and evenings and we get the fall out at school.

Unfortunately, many people feel that they can hide behind a screen of technology and that makes their actions ok.

Please have a conversation with your child about the appropriate use of technology, especially while at school. Students would have very few, if any, academic reasons to use their devices at school.

We also want to make parents aware that should we uncover any online bullying or threatening behavior, whether it occurred here at school or after hours, we will notify RCMP.​
