Breakfast Program

Dear Families,

Our breakfast program was a huge success last year!  Whether children have not eaten, or have had breakfast but are still hungry, they are welcome to breakfast.  We want our girls and boys to start their day on the right foot! On average, we serve approximately 300 students/day – WOW!

We are looking for volunteers to help with our breakfast program.  Volunteers are asked to arrive at the school at 7:15am and stay until approximately 8:30am.  We have volunteers on a bi-weekly schedule so that they help twice per month.  We could not run this program without our wonderful volunteers!  If you are able to help, please email shauna.kelly@nbed.nb.ca.  Thank you!

Message from PSSC

Hello, Park Street Parents!

I hope all of you and your little ones have had a happy start to the school year in the “new normal”. I wanted to send a quick note to let you know that the Park Street Parent School Support Committee will soon begin our monthly meetings and we would love to add some new faces to the table.

The Parent School Support Committee is a committee made up of mainly parents in order to provide consultation and guidance to Park Street School’s administration. We provide guidance on policy issues respecting the school mission, the school’s learning climate, strategies for communication with parents and the community, and strategies for improving the quality of learning and teaching within the school.

We meet with the principal for an hour once a month (except December!) in the evening, and there are no special skills required--only a desire to share thoughts, ideas and opinions.

Our first meeting will be held in the next couple of weeks. If you have any questions or you’re interested in joining us, please reach out to the school so we can get in touch with you.

Wishing all of you a healthy and productive academic year,

Matt Stainforth

Chair, Park Street School PSSC

Appropriate masks for school use
Good afternoon Park Street families,

Please take note of the following information we have received from ASD-W regarding appropriate masks for school use:

“In the Return to School document in Appendix A: Use of a Community Mask, it states in the second bullet the following:

A community mask should be at least two layers of tightly woven fabric, that covers the nose, mouth, and sides of the face.

We have received a communication from EECD that a buff or neck scarf does not meet the requirements of a community mask.”

Thank you for your support in keeping PSS the best possible healthy place to grow!
