​We are here to activate, motivate and collaborate with our NMS Community! Hey that Rhymes!

Mr. Yaychuk and Mrs. O'Keefe would like to invite you to check out our NMS Physical Education Weebly

On this site, our team will be uploading a variety of activity challenges, links, photos and videos that we hope will help you stay active and enjoy practicing your skills. We believe that by increasing your activity levels each day for at least 30-60 minutes you will be maintaining a healthier lifestyle.  We understand that this may not be possible for everyone, due to each family’s circumstance.  This is only a guide and suggestion. 

 We want to share many different ideas from our school family, as well as other teachers and specialists from around our educational community.

You and your family most likely have already been participating in your own creative ways to stay active.  We would love to hear about those ideas! Please send us your feedback, questions, or photos and videos. Send your thoughts to leah.okeefe@nbed.nb.ca and alex.yachuk@nbed.nb.ca and we will certainly try and share your ideas or provide feedback back to you.

WELCOME TO K/1 WITH MRS. LYONS!

​It's hard to believe how fast the month of September has flown by. We have settled  nicely into our new classroom rules, routines and procedures and continue to practice "expected behaviors" during teaching and work times. I am excited to work with you to help support your child to reach his/her fullest potential this year! I look forward to a wonderful year of learning, laughter and growth with your children.

As you know, I will be posting photos of your childs' daily classroom activities/events on the SeeSaw app. Be on the lookout for new posts to your child's "Journal" for a glimpse of what is happening in our classroom and school.


I will begin posting our monthly newsletters/calendars on this page, along with our weekly "This Week in K/1Lyons!". Helpful links to educational videos, games and activities to reinforce your childs learning will also be included here. Check back often to see what's new!
