Public Consultation on Second Languages

EECD is requesting feedback from the public.

This survey is the first phase of our plan to improve second language learning for all students and to ensure we are working toward to goal of graduating bilingual high school students in both sectors.

Interested citizens are invited to complete and submit the following survey, along with any additional comments, by March 31, 2019.

French Second Language Parent Information

​Parent Information Sessions:

Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Fredericton High School (Theatre) (Storm Date: Tuesday, January 22nd) 

Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Leo Hayes High School (Library) (Storm Date: Tuesday, January 22nd)

All meetings will begin at 6:30 p.m. for parents of students in Anglophone West School District who wish to learn more about the French Second Language Programs that will be offered in the 2019-2020 school year. 

Parents who wish to enroll their children in the Grade 1 Entry or Grade 6 Entry French Immersion Programs will be required to complete the electronic registration form located on the ASD-W web site (www.asdw.nbed.nb.ca). On-line registration will open January 15, 2019. Registrations received by February 28, 2019, will inform planning for formation of classes (as per Provincial Policy 309: French Second Language Programs).

Home & School Auction!

AUCTION TIME! Join us Tuesday evening, Dec 4, at the Nashwaak Valley School for our annual auction. Come bid in our live auction with special guest auctioneer, Brent Buchanan or purchase something from our cash and carry tables. Doors open at 6 pm, auction starts at 6:30! We are still accepting donations.

Invitation for Stakeholders

The District Education Council for Anglophone West School District (DEC) invites you to participate in a Thought Exchange.  This is an opportunity for stakeholders to share their thought regarding their experience with Anglophone West School District (ASD-W).  The information will inform DEC priorities and goals.

The question:

What are some important things you appreciate about our district and what areas for improvement do you see?​

The Enchanted Forest Book Fair - Scholastic

Monday, November 19 12pm-3pm

Tuesday, November 20 9am-7pm  (5pm-7pm is our Family Event) 

Wednesday, November 21 9am-3pm 

Thursday, November 22 9am-8pm

Friday, November 23 9am-12pm.  

The Scholastic Book Fair is our only fundraiser for the library each year.  Our goal this year is to sell 500 books!  This would earn the library and classrooms $1500 in free books!!  It's a win-win, books for you and books for the school.  Come out and support our library!!

NVS Fall Fundraiser

Nashwaak Valley School is excited to be working with a NEW fundraising company Sarah’s Soaps this year.  Sarah’s Soaps are homemade using many ingredients from our lush New Brunswick gardens. Our Fall 2018 Fundraiser is just in time for Christmas. We are fundraising for bussing and additional expenses for field trips, breakfast/food program, technology in the school and other school activities. 

The orders must be paid for in advance and returned by Tuesday, November 13th.​
