​ANAVETS Woodstock Unit #95 (Army, Navy, and Air Force Veterans) are offering $300 bursaries each (a total of 6 bursaries) for area students.  These bursaries are awarded each year to students from the catchment area of Woodstock Unit #95 for post-secondary education in university, community college, vocational/technical schools, and other recognized and accredited post-secondary institutes of higher learning.

Bursaries will be granted on the following criteria:

1. Armed Forces, or RCMP and First Responder connection, including children/grandchildren of a veteran of the Canadian Forces, RCMP, local police, or First Responder, including:
1. A child who has a veteran as his/her legal guardian
2. A serving member of the Cadet Corps with a minimum of 3 Years of service
3. An effective serving member of a Reserve Unit of the Canadian Forces
4. A child of a serving member of the Canadian Armed Forces or RCMP
2. Financial Need
3. Academic Achievement
4. Extra-curricular involvement and leadership

Applicants should carefully complete the attached Application Form by including all the required information and names of 2 references and must be able to prove the service of the stated connection to veterans.  Please note that an official record of academic marks must be included with the application.  Completed application should be forwarded to the Guidance Office of your respective school by MAY 25, 2020.  Successful applicants will be notified on Graduation Day. ​
