Math - Today we looked at balancing equations. Notes can be found in the ClassNotebook on MS Teams.

Science - There will be a quiz on planets tomorrow (Friday, February 26th). We played a jeopardy review game and completed a pre-quiz in class this week - both have been posted in MS Teams. Notes from our Solar System Jigsaw are attached.Solar system jigsaw answer key 2021.docxSolar system jigsaw answer key 2021.docx I have also posted these in the ClassNotebook on MS Teams. Students DO NOT need to memorize all information in the chart. They will be responsible for general trends/information including:

- planet composition (which planets are made out of rock/gas/ice)

- moons (which planets have moons, which planets don't, which planet has the most moons)

- rings (which planets have rings)

- mass (which planet has the largest/smallest mass)

- age (which planet are you the oldest/youngest and why does your age change on other planets)

- distance from the Sun (order planets from closest to the Sun to furthest from the Sun)

- planet size (which planet is the largest/smallest)

- planet temperature (which planet is the coldest/warmest)

- rotation period (which planet has the longest/shortest rotation period)

- revolution period (which planet has the longest/shortest revolution period)

- For Earth, students should know the diameter, distance from the Sun, number of moons, number of rings, rotation and revolution periods

Winter Carnival - Tomorrow is Pyjama Day. Students are encouraged to wear their pyjamas to school to earn points for team purple.
