Make It Sow seed fundraiser

The  Make It Sow seed fundraiser is here! 

All students recieved a catalogue, order form (Make It Sow - 2023 Order V2.pdf), and an envelope to return their cash/cheques. This is an electronic version of the catalogue. Make It Sow -Catalogue.pdfMake It Sow -Catalogue.pdf

Students can begin collecting orders between now and March 20th when the fundraiser ends.

Collection dates will be the next three Mondays (Feb 27, Mar. 13, and Mar. 20). 

Lots of great prizes to be won. 

The order will be placed by March 22nd, and we anticipate having the seeds to send home during the first week of April. 

If students are selling to neighbours, please record house numbers or phone numbers, so its easy to deliver the seeds when they arrive.

Drop Off and Pick Up

Please do not park, drop off or pick up in front of the school on either side of George Street. This poses a significant safety risk as the area is congested during peak transportation times.

Please do not stop/drop on the on the opposite side of the street. It is not safe for students to cross the street between cars and buses.  The risk is further increased with slippery roads due to winter weather. 

Please use Carleton Street or the area at the Market to pick up/drop off. There are cross walks in these locations and students may cross safely.

Pre-order only - no sales the day of the event. Tickets on sale in the cafeteria.

Deadline to order: Thursday, December 1st,2022 

 

The Christmas Lunch Special includes: 

Turkey, Potatoes, Veggies, Dressing, Cranberry Sauce, Gravy, Candy Cane, Dessert (Christmas Cupcake) and choice of drink (1 small milk or 1 200ml Juice Box, or 1 500ml Water). 

If dressing is NOT wanted, we can add an extra scoop of potatoes.

How do I find out if school is cancelled due to weather or a bus is late?

On occasion, it may be necessary to cancel bus runs, close schools, or delay school opening.

For these announcements, please note GSMS is zone is #6 - Greater Fredericton Area.

You can find out about school closures in a variety of ways:

 

1. Check the ASD-W website- https://asdw.nbed.ca  – there is an ‘Alert’ icon on the dashboard.

2. Check the GSMS website http://georgest.nbed.nb.ca -  there is a tab for ASD-W Late Bus & School Closures

3. Phone 1-888-388-4455 (toll-free) or 453-5454 any time after 6:00 AM for the district automated message

4. Twitter @ASD_West

5. Local Fredericton radio stations: 106.9 FM, 105.5 FM, 93.1 FM, 104.5 FM, 92.3 FM, 96.5 FM, 103.5 FM

​Registration information: If you are new to Fredericton, or moved to our school area, you can find information about registration using this link to the ASDW website: New school registration​    You may also call  the school 453-5419 or send and email  georgestreetmiddle@nbed.nb.ca 

​Newcomer student registration is handled by the Newcomer Support Centre, please contact them via email:  iwcfredericton@nbed.nb.ca or call  506-444-3573 ​

Transportaion information: Students who live farther than 2.4 km from the school are eligible to take a bus. Information about busing can be found using this link to the ASDW website :School bus information
