A student fee of $35.00 will provide all students with an ID card, locker rental and lock, lab supplies for Science as well as materials for all Practical and Related Arts courses, and funding for all our positive rewards programs – including guest speakers and equipment for our popular games room and student lounge.  Families of two or more will pay a family fee of $60.00.

100% of the student fees go back to students to make GSMS a rich inviting place. In fact,  students help determine how we use the fees via their feedback on our monthly Think Tanks.

Host Families Needed for the NB International Student Program

Each year, families with or without children, single parents, retirees and empty-nesters make up the hundreds of families who welcome international students in their home through the NB International Student Program.  Homestay parents are making a difference in the lives of bright, caring students wanting to improve their English and learn about Canadian culture.

Homes are needed for students to attend George Street School and Fredericton High School. Students stay from 3 months to up to 10 months starting in September. A fixed monthly stipend is given to families to offset costs.

We would like to thank the families who have and continue to host our international students.  To find out how you can become a host parent and the support you will receive,  or if you know someone who may be interested, contact Liane Nicholson, Homestay Coordinator at lnicholson@canadahomestaynetwork.ca  or click here  for more information.
