Good afternoon Creekers!
First, if you have been or continuing to be without power, we wish you warmth and electricity soon! I know it can be very frustrating ( and cold) so we are thinking of you! Be happy to hear though, that Creeker life at school is business as usual even though many of our staff came to work under those very same frustrating conditions – but we are all smiling and working hard!
SAFETY – CROSSWALK – we could have had a close call today at the crosswalk. Please let your child out on the curb side of the street ( passenger door) and not the street side. Our crossing guard, Ann Draper, will help them get across safely.
New Lunch Hour Schedule – so you are aware, we will now have a 12:30 bell for the K-2s to come in at lunch and the regular 12:40 bell for the 3-5s. This is to enable the younger students to have a bit more time to eat as it tends to take them longer, especially when we throw in getting dressed in the winter weather. This will also help us stay on track to start classes, especially specialists, on time.
Creeker Clothing – Creeker Clothing time is here! Parents will be receiving an order form tomorrow in regard to buying Creeker Clothing. This will all be done through Cashless Schools and parents will have a chance to check out the merchandise for a couple of weeks located in the main hallway starting soon. Look for the form coming home tomorrow.
Remembrance Day Ceremony – We will be having our Remembrance Day Ceremony this Thursday starting at 10:40 am. All are welcome to attend. We welcome members of the RCAF who will be presenting in grade 3-5 classrooms prior to the ceremony as well as presenting during the assembly . A special thank you goes to Lieutenant- Colonel Nickolas (Nick) Roby, MSM, CD, one of our parents, for supporting the school with this special ceremony of remembrance. Thank you to our committee as well!
School Picture Retakes – Retakes are tomorrow, Tuesday! This will take place in the music room in the morning.
NO SCHOOL FRIDAY – Staff have professional learning ( participating in the Blanket Exercise, a First Nations awareness exercise) and achievement report writing on Friday. There will be no school for students.
