Memo for Garden Creek Parents and Guardians
Good afternoon, Creeker
Families:
We are into Week 2 at the
Creek. I hope your child is settling into the new classroom and is
enjoying getting to make new friends and increasing their learning.
Safety
Reminders
Morning Drop Offs
- Please
continue to remember to let your child out through the right passenger door
next to the parking barrier.
- Please remember not to go around
other cars in line, even if your child has gotten out of the car as we
want to avoid accidents
PM Pick Ups - It is nice for the adults to chat with friends
at pick up time , but this is a time when we are loading students onto the
busses so it can make for a busy area that could be unsafe. Please find
another place to meet if you want to chat.
Blues in the Schools
- our
Harvest Jazz performance is this Tuesday at 1:10 pm. John Campbelljohn, a
guitarist and dobro lap steel player will be performing for our students.
Grade
3-5 Art Program
- Jennifer Kruger with
Estey Creations, will again be holding an Art program at our school on Mondays
and Tuesdays starting on September 24 and 25th and running for 10
weeks. More info to come on this in the coming week.
Meet
the Teacher this Wednesday 6:30- 7:30 pm ! - Come on out to meet the staff,
learn about the school and your child's class. Meet in the gym at 6:30 pm .
This is a meeting for the adults in particular rather than student oriented.

Fees and Cashless Schools - If you have not yet done so, please jump to the website right away

Terry
Fox Walk - We
will be walking around the school perimeter on Friday. Students are welcome to
donate a loonie and wear a hat if they wish!
Fluoride Mouthrinse
Volunteers Needed- We will be in need of 3 volunteers to help set up the mouthrinse
program on a weekly basis. This would entail preparing the fluoride, filling
the dixie cups for the students and delivering them to the classrooms. It would
take about 45minutes or less, starting at 8:00AM. We can choose the day that
works for the three volunteers. Please call or email the school if you are
interested in helping out and let us know the days that work for you. I hope to
have the program running by the last week of September.
