Welcome to our first weekly Memo to
keep you in the “know”! You will be receiving this memo by
email on either Fridays or Mondays, keeping you informed of events and dates as
we progress through the year.
First Week of School - I hope you found the first week of
school a happy experience for you and your child. I know that the staff is
feeling positive and I most certainly am very happy to be at this amazing
school. Please remember to let me know your questions, suggestions and concerns
at any time!
Blues in the Schools – Samuel James will be preforming today, Monday, from 10:30 – 11:00 for K-2s and 11:15 – 12:00 pm for grades 3-5. This is
part of the Harvest Jazz Series.
Meet the Teacher – Meet the Teacher takes place this Wednesday from 6:30 – 7:30 pm.
This is a chance for you to get to know our school, new staff and spend time
getting to know your child’s teacher and the curriculum/ routines of the class.
Hot Lunch and Milk Programs: You will be receiving the forms
today. The Milk Program as well as the Hot Lunch Program will
begin on the 22nd. Please let
us know how we can assist. Thanks to the Home and School for organizing the
Holt Lunch Program!
Bottle
Drive – Mme. Cairns is organizing a bottle
drive to raise funds for exercise bikes and alternate seating for the
classrooms. This will take place on Saturday
September 24 from 8:00-12:00. Monetary donations accepted. Thank you for
your support!
After
School Art Program – Jennifer Krueger will again be
offering her art program, Estey Creations after school. It begins on the 19 or 20 of
September running for 10 weeks. If interested, there are brochures in our
Community Posting area in our school foyer.
