Good morning Creeker Families:

It was a beautiful weekend with warmer weather and sunshine 😊 I hope you all enjoyed it!

Safety Reminders:  Masks on the bus: the memo that we sent out Saturday can be disregarded considering high school schedule will not be changing  for the foreseeable future. However,  bus drivers appreciate the masks staying on and this might be a prudent course of action with the surge of covid variants in the northern part of the province.

                                 Crosswalk Vigilance– if your child is crossing at either crosswalk, please remind them of how to safely cross. One of our parents is working on  getting the signage moved or changed but we need to continue to be vigilant

Parent/Teacher Conferences this Week -  Parent teacher conferences have been scheduled for this week. Please accept the conference link if you still need to . We look forward to positive discussions and the opportunity to support families. No school on Wednesday!

Social Emotional Learning – this week we are working on “taking our emotional temperature” as students  learn skills around self-awareness and self-regulation

School Goal Updates –personalized learning – this past Wednesday, teachers dove deeper into learning about guided math and differentiated centers so that we can better move students from  where they are in their learning.  Social-emotional learning – we are continuing to  learn and apply skills throughout the school in this area (a comprehensive PL for staff will take place on April 21)

Garden Creek Parent Perception Survey – 5 minutes of your time  – In 2019 and 2017, Garden Creek  sent out an anonymous  parent perception survey to get feedback from parents  to improve our school. We are again asking for your  responses.  Please complete the survey monkey for each of your children at our school  through this link. The most valuable part,  are  the comments that you can add.
