Memo for Garden Creek Parents and Guardians​

Good afternoon Creeker Parents,

THANK YOU, THANK YOU for the gift cards and the treats for the staff over the course of Staff Appreciation Week! I know they  enjoyed the “take out’ lunch from Fadi’s on Wednesday ( thank you to Amanda Williams of our Home and School for organizing that!) as well as the daily draws for all those gift cards you sent in. There are some happy Creekers on staff 😊.  We look forward to continuing to bring our best to your children for both their academic success and social-emotional growth .

Family Day this Monday – No School!   Enjoy the long weekend with your family 😊

Social Emotional Learning – We will continue to work on the themes of  Try Try again – the idea that we need to persevere when things are hard – We can do hard things!

100^th Day Food Drive –  a reminder that our 100^th day food drive begins this coming  Thursday the 18^th and runs until  Friday the 26^th. As in the past, each class will be asked to bring a particular food item in for the local food bank. Please see the attachment and thank you for your support.

Home and School Meeting  this Tuesday Night – a reminder of our meeting on Tuesday at 6:30 pm on TEAMS. Any parents who want to take part in the meeting are welcome to send me an email and I will send you an invite!

Black History Month Presentations this Friday – Our grade 3-5 classes are in for a treat as they receive virtual presentations from the Multicultural Association for Black History Month. Thank you to their association for always bringing incredible learning opportunities to our students as we learn about various cultures that surround us.

Week of March 1 – MARCH BREAK!

Tues Mar 9 – Last Bagel Hot Lunch for Cycle 1 (Feb 2 orders applied)

Tues Mar 16 – Home and School Meeting  6:30 on TEAMS

Fri Mar 19 – No School – staff working on report cards in the morning and Professional Learning in the afternoon / doodle for interviews going out at 11 am
