​​​Transportation Information

Parents who have students who travel on Bus 245 are asked to check the Anglophone West Transportation Site (link below) to confirm pick-up time for your children as there has been a change made to the bus schedule and it is not the same as last year's schedule. Also, as it is the first week of school, parents are asked to have their children at the bus stop earlier than the time on the website to ensure you are at the stop when the arrives. Please remember, children are to be supervised by an adult at the bus stop until they are safely on the bus.

First Day Reminders:

​Students will head directly to their classes when they arrive on Tuesday morning (K students have a staggered entry and will not have a full day until Thursday, September 6th). Adults will greet them on the dance floor and help direct them to their classrooms where their teachers will be waiting to greet them for the start of a brand new year! Parents are permitted to accompany their child(ren) to their classrooms for today only.

Arrival time - 7:45 is the earliest students can be brought to school. Teachers are not on supervision before that time and students will remain outside until that time.

Class start time - the first bell rings at 8:10 and students move to their classrooms. 'O Canada' plays at 8:25 and students arriving during or after this time are required to sign in at the office as they are considered late for class. Thank you for doing your best to ensure they are here before the teachers submit their attendance to the office.

Cafeteria services - will resume on Monday, September 10th. Please see the attachment for a copy of the menu. Students will need to bring money with them as online ordering is not currently available.Cafeteria Menu 2018-19.pdf

​Meet the Teacher & Corn boil - Tuesday, September 11th, from 5:15-6:30. Come enjoy corn, rolls and conversation with your family, friends and the staff of GNMES. Your children love the opportunity to show you their classrooms and introduce you to their teachers. We look forward to seeing you!
