Hello awesome students and equally awesome parents!​

This week in our Math classes we will be:

• Practicing Estimation-PLEASE practice this at home, when shopping etc
• Mental Math strategies (I will be presenting them and we will be working together and finishing off with a Kahoot--I encourage you to make your own Kahoot for the class at Kahoot, Making learning awesome!  Give me some notice and I will reserve the IPADS.
• Practice DIVISION PLEASE.  I recommend:  Estimate and calculate.  Make up your own divisions and try them out. Check on a calculator (Proof) at the end.  Push yourself and research division strategies online:  Khan Academy, Wired Math, YouTube etc.
• I will post my mental math strategy Ppt later this week or first thing next week as it contains work and answers to be done in class together.
• After Mental Math we will continue with PEDMAS and start exponents and square roots:)

I have extra help Mondays at 1225 so please attend if you have questions.  I won't keep you longer than needed. :)

All grade 8s and 7s will be writing the Common Assessment this week.  No studying needed!
