UNB Hockey TicketsUNB Reds Men’s Hockey team would like to invite students, staff and parents to FEC-OEC-Francophone Middle School Night on Friday, February 21st at 7:00pm. The UNB
Red’s Men’s Hockey Team kick off their defence of their AUS & U Sport
Championships with the AUS Men’s Hockey Semi Finals vs U de M.
All student tickets are FREE and parents can get a half price ticket of
$7.50 which is only available at the box office.
The
process is fairly simple anyone that is interested in tickets, they can go to
the UNB box office, say which school they are with pick up their students
tickets and their ½ price adult ticket. Box Office hours are: 10am-4pm Monday
to Friday and 90 minutes before the game. Tickets have to be
purchased at the box office, online tickets will be at full cost.
Sock hop - Friday, February 14There will be a sock hop during activity time tomorrow from 12:30 - 1:05. The cost to attend the sock hop is $1. Proceeds raised will go towards our Physical Education programs and other educational purposes. Grade 8 Year End EventsQuebec City Trip - June 10-13

Sock HopThere will be a sock hop at lunch time on Friday. Admission is $1.00. Funds raised will be used for educational purposes. Frontier College Tutoring Frontier College Tutoring is starting up once again. The program takes place on Tuesday's after school from 3:30-4:30. It is a homework club for students to review work they have been working on or to get extra help in certain subject matters. If students are interested please contact Mr. Chiasson for a registration form. Worlds UNBound Girls Codemakers ClubThe Worlds UNBound Girls Codemakers Club is starting up a
new series of sessions at Bliss Carman and will run on Tuesdays from 3:15-4:45 on the following dates: January
21, February 4 & 18, and March 10 & 24. This is a free program
and is open to all girls who wish to join. Any girls who were part of
this club in the fall can re-register and join as this is a new series!

BCMS Fredericton Red Wings GameWith the holiday season close by, it
is time to pay it forward. Our F’ton Red Wings Hockey team volunteered
their time at the Family Fun Night. In return, Bliss Carman Middle School
community wants to support the team. We encourage you all to attend the
Red Wings game this Friday December 6th at 7:00pm at the Grant
Harvey Arena. All BCMS students will receive a ticket to attend the
game. We hope that families can also support by attending. This
will be a fun time and a great opportunity to show BCMS spirit!
Parent Teacher InterviewsParent Teacher Interviews will take place on Thursday November 21st from 4:30pm-7:30pm and Friday November 22nd from 8:30am-11:30am. There will be no school on Friday November 22nd.
Family Fun NightTonight is the big night! Come out and enjoy Family Fun Night. Event runs from 5:30-7:30. Bring all your family and your friends. You don’t have to worry about supper; there will be a canteen in the cafeteria. Admission at the door is $10. There will be a lot of new games this year, henna, book fair in the library and even a parent chill room with coffee and treats. Please support our school and come and have a GREAT time!!!! BCMS Band News
I would like to thank everyone who has paid their band fees. Anyone who has not yet had a chance to pay
their band fee ($100.00) you may do so by sending in cash, cheque to Mrs.
Clarke or go online and use cashless school method. The
BCMS Band Program has been busy preparing for their Christmas concert. The concert will take place on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 starting at
7:00 pm. If needed the snow date
will be the following day at the same time.
All band members are requested to take part in the dress rehearsal
for the concert on Monday, December 9th from 3:15 until 4:30
pm. No uniforms are required for this
rehearsal.
All band members are asked to report to the
music room at 6:30 pm in uniform with their music and
instrument on the night of the concert.
Uniforms consist of BCMS white band shirt, black pants or black skirt,
black socks or tights and dark shoes.
The concert is free however donations for the band program
will be accepted at the door. We hope
that you can join us for an evening filled with wonderful music that will
surely get you into the Christmas spirit!

College once again this year to provide Tutoring Service for our Bliss Carman
students . Tutoring will take place on Tuesdays starting Oct. 22nd
from 3:30pm-4:30pm at Bliss Carman Middle School. Attached you will find
a registration form. Please fill out the form and return it to the main
office prior to Oct. 22nd.

BCMS Clubs and CommitteesBCMS prides itself on being able to offer a wide variety of clubs and committes for our students. Our goal is for every student to join at least one activity throughout the school year. Please see an attachment for all clubs and committees. All students are welcome to attend. Terry Fox WalkBliss Carman Middle School will take part in the Terry Fox Walk on Friday September 27th from 2:15pm-2:45pm. BCMS Band ProgramAnyone new to BCMS & interested in joining the band program is welcome to come to the music room at 12:35 this Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday to try out the various band instruments. No experinece needed.

Morning Running GroupMr. Chiasson will be leading a morning running group. This will take place on Tuesday and Thursday morning at 7:30am. It is part of the X-Country Training but everyone is welcome to join. We will be running the trails around Bliss Carman School. Great way to get some exercise before the school day begins. Lost & FoundPlease encourage your students to check the lost and found table outside the office or stop by the school yourselves. Items will be removed from the school first thing Monday morning.
2018-19 BCMS YearbookThe 2018-19 Yearbooks arrive next week. If you haven't already ordered, we have a limited number of extra books for $38.00 each. To purchase a yearbook, please bring $38 (cash or cheque) to the office and have your name added to the list.
