Kindergarten Registration

Registering for Kindergarten for the 2021-22 school year:


Kindergarten attendance is compulsory for all children who reach the age of five years on or before December 31st, 2021.  Parents, however, may defer entry into Kindergarten until September of 2022 for children who turn five between September 1st and December 31st of 2021.  Children who will not reach the age of five on or before December 31st, 2021 are not eligible for admission to kindergarten.

 

Parents may register their child by visiting this siteYour child’s school will be in touch to set up an appointment to finish the registration process at the school. Visitors to the school will be required to complete COVID-19 screening and wear a mask. Please do not visit the school without an appointment. Please bring with you to the appointment:

 

·          proof of child’s age:  birth certificate, passport, another piece of ID (e.g. immigration documents or a certificate issued by another Canadian Provincial Government indicating the date of birth)

·          proof of Immunization

 

You may be asked to provide proof of residency to determine if your student resides in the district catchment area. This proof can be in located on a formal lease, utility bill (power, water, cable, telephone), bank statement, credit card statement, property tax assessment, or building permit that contains the parent’s name and address.

 

A copy of your child's Medicare number may also be requested to have on file in case of a medical emergency.


For Newcomers and/or International Students (Students NOT born in Canada or students born in Canada but the language spoke at home is NOT English), please do not use the registration form.  Please contact Lynn Macdonald directly @ Lynn.MacDonald@nbed.nb.ca to register your child.​
