No Changes to Busing/Masking

Dear ASD-S Families,

Re: No Changes to Busing/Masking

On Thursday we communicated to families that there would be changes to some bus routes as a result of the full-time, in-person return to school of High School students this Monday. It was also announced that all students grades K-12 would be required to wear a mask on the bus at all times. On Saturday, the province announced that high school students would not be returning for full-time in person learning on Monday. This decision will be reviewed again later in the month. As a result, there will be NO CHANGES to bus routes. Families who received notification via BusPlanner of changes to their child’s busing can disregard them. All students should continue to take their regular bus, as originally scheduled. As well, original mask requirements will remain in place; Grades K-5 are not required to wear a mask on the bus. Students grades 6-12 must wear a mask when seated with another student outside of their household, or when physical distancing is not possible.

We sincerely apologize for any confusion or inconvenience. As the pandemic evolves, many decisions have changed and we often have to adjust on short-notice. We appreciate your patience and understanding at this time.

Zoё Watson,

Superintendent
