School Immunization Information:
 
Children Starting Kindergarten or New to New Brunswick Schools
 
The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development supports the goals of immunization, which are to minimize the risk that an outbreak of a vaccine-preventable disease will occur and to ensure that students are protected in the event that an outbreak of a vaccine-preventable disease does occur. In New Brunswick, it is required that children entering the school system provide proof of immunization, documentation of parental objection, or medical objection. Immunization Program for Grades 7 & 9
The 2017-2018 In-school Immunization Campaign will begin during the week of September 18, 2017 . Public Health Nurses, in partnership with Anglophone South School District, will offer school immunization clinics for all grade seven and  nine students. Vaccines are free of charge and will protect youth against whooping cough, meningitis, chickenpox, and cervical cancers.  For details, parents can contact their local Public Health Offices in Saint John, Sussex, or St. Stephen.
