Harry Miller Middle School Bears Who Care

This year, Harry Miller became a We School and the Bears Who Care were born!

We would like to acknowledge the outstanding contribution that a small group of 20 students have made in our local and global community.  Together with the support of our parent and school community, they have raised over $1500 to help improve the lives of others!
On a global level, they sponsored the education and living accommodations for a student in Uganda.  Locally, they have collected food for the local food bank and clothing for Syrian refugees, and distributed warm clothing and treats to the seniors living in our community in partnership with the Rothesay Regional Police Force.  The Bears Who Care also fundraised for Muscular Dystrophy and raised money and awareness for homeless youth living in our area by participating in a Wake-A-Thon.  In addition, they volunteered several times at a local senior’s home and also made and distributed fleece blankets to these residents.
We are so proud of the work that such a small and dedicated group was able to accomplish during their first year!  You are a small group making big changes!
