Renaming of Fundy High School

The ASDS School District is preparing the transition of grade 6 students to Fundy High School for September 2016, making both a middle school and a high school within the building.    A committee was struck to help provide input on the organization of the middle level.  One of the committee’s requests was a renaming of Fundy High School to reflect grades 6-12 housed within.   There will be one name for the entire building, but it can contain two names in order to identify the different levels of education. Some examples from other schools are:   Millerton Elementary and Junior High School, Harvey Middle and High School.

A naming committee has been formed consisting of DEC, educators, and a community member  to oversee this process.  This committee is looking for all public input on their thoughts for a new name for our grades 6-12 school.   The online form can be accessed below as well as from the local school websites for the public input.  This input will be available for 3 weeks and the naming committee would appreciate the public providing their input on this important community decision.
