Child Safety Breakfast Panel

Following recent events in our city, and considering the heightened awareness of Child Safety issues, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Saint John feels this discussion needs to happen in order to educate and address the risks, preventable measures and actionable steps that can be taken when working with youth.

Big Brothers Big Sisters has long been a well-known and respected organization dedicated to the cause of providing mentors for children and youth. We understand the challenges of volunteer based programs, and are working with organizations and resources that work collaboratively to keep our children safe.

We hope you will consider showing your support by attending this discussion. Each person there will be the voice of a child as we ignite stronger partnerships among youth services, funders and community supporters in Saint John by creating safer spaces for our youth to grow and flourish.

The Child Safety Breakfast Panel will take place on March 15th, 7:30am-9:30am at the Delta Brunswick Ballroom: The Panel will feature four special guests and will be facilitated by CBC’s Hance Colburne:
Bill Reid, Former Chief of Police, 360 Stand
Jessie Lanigan, Founder of Project Roar
Hon. Cathy Rogers, Minister of Social Development
Matthew Chater, CEO, Big Brothers Big Sisters London, Ontario

Together we will better educate and protect our children, the organizations that work with them and members of the business community who support the work of child and youth serving agencies.
