SUMMER SCHOOL 2023 TEACHING
POSITIONS, GRADES 9 – 12
In
partnership with READ Saint John, Anglophone South School District will be
offering a Summer School Program at Saint John High School to students in
Grades 9 to 12 as follows:
July 3 - July 28, to Grades 9-10 students
wishing to enroll in the following courses:
Grade 9 Math (Essentials to
prepare for next year. This will give credit for 9A or 9B)
Geometry, Measurement & Finance 10
Numbers, Relations & Functions 10
Grades 9 & 10 English Language Arts
Grade 9 Science (Essential Skills to prepare for Grade
11 sciences. This will give credit for Science 9 or Science 10)
July 3 – July 28, to Grades 11-12 students wishing to enroll in the following courses:
Biology 112, 113, 122
Chemistry 112, 122
English 112, 113, 122, 123
Environmental Science 122
Human Physiology 110
Modern History 112, 113
Law 120
Financial & Workplace
Mathematics 110, 120
Foundations of Mathematics
110, 120
Pre-Calculus 110, 120A, 120B
Calculus 120
Physical Geography 110
Physics 112, 122
World Issues 120
Other courses if there is
sufficient student interest.
Teachers
may apply in writing on or before June 2nd, 2023, stating
qualifications and experience, as well as summer school courses they would be
interested in teaching. Applicants should also include a telephone number at
which they can be reached during the last week of June. Please apply via e-mail to:

Preference
will be given to N.B. certified teachers who have recently had successful
experience teaching the above courses during the regular school year and/or
during past summer schools.
Teacher
remuneration will be as follows:
July 3-July 28: $4,000.00 (including 4%
vacation pay).
Depending
on enrollment there is a possibility of a Summer school being run at St.
Stephen High School for the SSEC and Sussex High School for the HEC. These are
subject to student registrations in those locations, but please apply if you
wish to be considered for those locations should the need be there. Classes run
on weekdays from 8:30am to 12:30pm.
Successful applicants will be contacted by
phone the last week of June, once registrations are completed and courses being
offered are set. Those who are not successful will be notified through e-mail
during the same time frame.
