Position
1.0 FTE Social Worker I

Description:
This is
entry level professional social work involving the provision of
services/interventions to individuals, families and groups to improve social functioning.
The work involves assessment and preparation of case analysis; identification
of social needs and recommending appropriate action. Employees are
responsible for preparing case analysis and reports, acting as a resource to
educators and are establishing/maintaining effective working relationships
with students, parents, teaching staff, groups, other government departments,
community agencies and the general public. As the variety and difficulty of
assignments increases, more latitude in independent judgment and decision
making is permitted as the employee acquires knowledge and skill in the
assigned areas of activities. Other related duties may be assigned as
necessary.
Qualifications:
Graduation from university with a Bachelor’s in Social Work or a
related degree.
Necessary
Special Requirement: Registration [or eligibility] with the New Brunswick Association
of Social Workers.
Salary: In accordance with the New Brunswick
Union of Public and Private Employees–Professional Support Group Collective
Agreement, $1,979.60 to $2543.68 bi-weekly.
