Director of the New Brunswick International Student Program (NBISP) 


Atlantic Education International has an immediate job opportunity in its Fredericton office for an employee with proven strength in team leadership, management, and strategic planning. 


NBISP is one of two main business lines of AEI, an organization established in 1995 by the province of New Brunswick to deliver education opportunities to the world community through the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (EECD) and Anglophone School Districts. The program welcomes students from around the world into New Brunswick’s Anglophone middle and high schools. Tuition paying students live with host families, attend classes in New Brunswick public schools and participate in extra-curricular and community activities.


As Director of NBISP, the successful candidate will lead a team whose members provide client services for the recruited international students from multiple countries and multiple agencies. The work schedule requires availability to accommodate the various time zones and requests of clients as well as some evening and weekend responsibilities in-province.


The position will be responsible for developing and directing a marketing and recruitment strategy for AEI annually. The Director must be a persuasive NBISP sales spokesperson with agents and agencies, planning and executing recruitment business trips and participating in activities that will contribute to the sustainable growth of NBISP. They must provide leadership and support to NBISP team members with responsibility for educational matters and overall student safety in homestay arrangements and beyond. The Director reports to, and has the support of, the AEI Vice President. 


Desired qualifications for the position include:


• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

• Minimum of eight years of relevant work experience in education, business or other people-oriented employment

• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team within a larger organization

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field with graduate degree or additional applicable certification

• Evidence of Integrity, resourcefulness, diplomacy, leveraging of networks, cross-cultural empathy, and complex ethical decision making

• Excellent written and spoken English language skills; additional language capabilities will be an asset


Salary range is $103,402 - $113,828 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
